A Day in the Life of Prof. Dr. Deepak Regmi

  • 4 min read

Lead ENT Surgeon, Amritam Gamaya AADI Multispeciality & ENT Care Pvt. Ltd.

At AADI, healthcare is not just about treating disease — it’s about caring for the whole person. This belief is lived every day by Prof. Dr. Deepak Regmi, our lead ENT surgeon, whose daily routine blends advanced medicine with mindful compassion.

Before the World Wakes Up

Dr. Regmi’s day begins in the stillness of early morning, often between 3 and 4 a.m.
In these quiet hours, he turns inward — meditating, reflecting, and preparing himself not only as a surgeon, but as a healer.

At 4:50 a.m., he opens his virtual door to patients and friends worldwide through a free Zoom “Energy Meditation” session which encompasses Yog, Pranayam & Meditation. This practice supports those who need care beyond the body — for their mind, emotions, and consciousness. He calls this complete health, a balance of physical wellness and inner peace.

By 6:30 a.m., the session ends, and the hospital day begins.

A Spiritual Start in the Operating Theatre

The operation theatre welcomes Dr. Regmi with an atmosphere of calm — soft bhajans or gentle instrumental music fill the room.
Before every surgery, he meets his patient, offers words of reassurance, and guides them through 5–10 minutes of meditation. This unique moment helps patients feel safe, calm, and supported.

Once the patient is handed over to the anesthesia team, Dr. Regmi steps into the counselling room to meet with the family. Here, he listens, explains, and builds trust.

When the operation begins, he works with the focus and care of someone treating his own family member. Every stitch, every step is done with precision and heart.

From Surgery to OPD

After surgery, Dr. Regmi visits operated patients during morning rounds, ensuring their recovery is on track.
By around 11 a.m., he is in the AADI OPD, meeting patients from all walks of life — from children with ear infections to adults with complex sinus conditions or any head and neck cancer.

He doesn’t just diagnose and prescribe; he educates. He believes an informed patient is an empowered patient.

Multispeciality Care Under One Roof

While Dr. Regmi leads the ENT department, AADI has grown into a multispeciality centre offering:
• Psychological Counseling — Emotional and mental health support.
• Internal & Geriatric Medicine — Complete care for adults and seniors.
• Gynaecology & Obstetrics — Comprehensive women’s health services.
• Dermatology — Skin care and treatment.
• General Surgery — Safe, modern surgical solutions.
. ENT Endoscopy, Hearing assessments (PTA, Impedance), Hearing aid trial and fitting.
. USG, ECHO, ECG
. Laboratory and Pharmacy

This growth means patients can find most of their healthcare needs addressed in one place.

Evening: Family and Rest

Dr. Regmi finishes seeing patients by early evening, often leaving the hospital around 7-8 p.m..
At home, he shifts into his other cherished roles — husband, father, and friend. Time with family and play with his children bring balance to his busy day.

By 10 p.m., he is asleep — recharging for the next day of healing.

The Heart of AADI

For Dr. Deepak Regmi, surgery is more than skill, and medicine is more than science. It’s about making patients feel safe, valued, and cared for — body, mind, and spirit.

At Amritam Gamaya AADI Multispeciality & ENT Care, this approach shapes everything we do. Whether you come for ENT care, counselling, or any of our other services, you’ll find a place where technology meets compassion, and where every patient is treated like family.
